Lands Minister Sues Admire Bio Over Alleged Libelous Social Media Posts

The ongoing legal battle between the Minister of Lands, Housing and Country Planning and one Admire Bio was heard for the first time this past Thursday, in a session presided over by Justice Andrew Samuel Curtis Johnson.

The case, brought forward by the Minister, concerns alleged defamatory statements and insults made by Admire Bio on social media, against the Minister.

During the hearing, the prosecuting counsel described the statements as unprovoked, abusive, and lacking factual basis, arguing they were intended to tarnish the Minister’s reputation.

The court had earlier issued an injunction restraining Admire from making any further direct or indirect publications concerning the Minister, pending the outcome of the case.

The Minister has expressed his commitment to pursuing the matter to its conclusion, stating that his reputation, built over years of public service, must be protected and he believes the only path to doing so is through the legal system.

The case is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
